Introduction by Joanna and Larissa
Welcome to the 6th Free Social Arts Festival, held for the third time in Algodoal, Amazonia. This is a multicultural social event created by artists and for artists. It’s the integration of international and local /indigenous artists from Amazonia in Brazil. We combine a different arts forms such as music, dance, theatre, painting, film and many more. We express what’s going on in the world, our hearts and minds. We rise awareness of violation of human rights and social injustice through performing and visual arts. All the artists: amateur and professional and audience are welcome to join our festival. The Social Arts Festival is hold at Flowmove Arts Centre in Algodoal on Princesinha beach in front of the Ocean. It’s the initiation of Polish movement artist from London Joanna Puchala and supported by Flowmove and all incredible international and local artists. Solo Lira by Lisa
Lisa is originally from Germany. She is in transition between jobs. She is a participant of the creative wellness and aerial retreat at Flowmove Retreat Centre in Algodoal. This is her first visit in Brazil. She came here to get to know a new culture, nature and people.
She loves the outdoors activities and being in contact with nature. She feels a deep connection with the Mather nature especially when she swim, sales, kite surfs or practice aerial dance by the ocean like here in north Brazil.
This is one of the main reasons why she decided to quit her previous engineering job, take a time off and explore Amazon. Her passion for nature is presented in the aerial performance and her journey on the path to a new profession as a meteorologist. This performance presents shift in Lisa’s life being inspired by the nature of Amazon.
She’s been practicing the aerial silks for the last 5 years.

Solo silks by Luane Furtado
Luane Furtado is 24 years old. She is from Brazil Para / Maracana and have lived in Algodoal for last 4 years. She’s a capoirea dancer, aerial yoga instructor and aerialist. She graduated from professional aerial yoga teacher training at Flowmove. She is a participant of Flowmove creative aerial retreat. This is her third time of the participation in Social Arts Festival in AmazonIa in Algodoal.
Being in contact with the fabric means allowing yourself to fly, body and mind work together in perfect harmony. Being suspended in the air is being free to be whatever you want to be, a free to fly. Just like the hoop, trapeze and silks, all aerial forms are possible, for those who allow it.
Solo Trapez by Lea Boucheron
Léa Boucheron is originally from France. She is a political scientist as a profession and an adventurer as a passion. She loves learning while she keeps a positive spirit. As an explorer and artist she is inspired by different cultures, ways of thinking and living. She loves expressing herself through the arts, especially dance, photography and drawing. She participates at creative aerial retreat at Flowmove.
Solo aereo dance by Joanna Puchala
Joanna Puchala originally from Poland. She is a world citizen. She is mainly based in London but also travels the world. She is an award winning performing artist and choreographer. She runs the dance company LCP Dance Theatre and aerial school Flowmove. She creates retreat centres in the natural reserves and runs creative aerial and professional aerial yoga retreats. She is a founder of Social Arts Festival. She started this non profit artistic movement in London in the United Kingdom six years ago. After the third edition she moved it to Amazonia where she created the Flowmove Arts Centre in Algodoal. This is the third edition of Social Arts Festival in Maiandeua, in Algodoal.
Joanna will present an aerial dance performance based on her experience of living in duality. Being trapped in an artificial world of civilisation and flying high and free in the world of nature. She shares her frustration of living very high speed of life in a big metropolis and much more meaningful life in the nature of Amazon and not only. She identifies herself more with the nature. However she can not leave behind the concrete world of civilisation.

Book presentation by Yvonne Miller
Yvonne Miller is a German writer who lives in Brazil. In her last book „Deus Criou Primeiro um Tatu – Crônicas da Mata (Aboio, 2022) she tells about her life in the Atlantic Forest of Pernambuco, Brazil, where she lived from 2020 to 2023.
In 50 short texts between fiction and non-fiction – sometimes funny, sometimes serious, poetic or political – you can get an idea of this lesser-known Brazilian forest and some of its inhabitants, such as huge lizards, colorful snikes, hairy spiders, cute sloths or scandalous. birds.

Doriel Rebeiro da Silva originally from Belem Para in North Brazil. The genius constructor, architect and engineer in the Amazonian reality. He’s been dancing Latin and capoeira since a child and later on Carimbo – folk from Para. He moved to Algodoal in Maiandeua to connect with the nature while he builds something from nothing, dances and practices slack line in front of Flowmove retreat centre here in Algodoal.
Joanna and Doriel will present the fusion of aerial and contemporary dance. It’s the artistic collaboration about cultural diversity, emotional and professional journey between two different worlds, sometimes conflict and eventually union and understanding.

This is the third and last day of the festival and multicultural interactive painting creation between participants of the festival and audiance. The author of this multimedia visual art is Léa Bucheron. The painting presents the image of a life style of local indigenous communities in Amazonia on the Algodoal island in archipelago of Maiandeua.

With our social arts festival we educate and raise awareness of what’s the most meaningful in our lives in many different aspects: social, political and economical
SAF is presented in person @flowmove in Amazon – Algodoal – Praia Princesinha and online on Instagram @socialartsfestival
During SAF we educate through the art and different workshops such as recycling bins built of dry bamboo in Amazonia. Recycling from the nature and bringing it back to the nature.
